EAST STROUDSBURG – Highlighted by a second-place finish from
Olivia Klein at 101, the East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team earned 19 team points - the fourth most among 21 teams at the fourth annual ESU Women's Freestyle Open on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.

- The Warriors recorded eight top-six finishers at their respective weight classes. Placing in the top-six for ESU were Olivia Klein (2nd place), Emily Klein (4th, 116), Paityn DeLong (4th place, 155) Ariel Ofri-Akman (4th, 191), Zoe Gress (5th, 136), Alanna Barberio (6th, 116), Mia Macaluso (t-6th, 123) and Jackeline Ramos-Oviedo (t-6th, 123)
- Freshman Olivia Klein went 2-1 on the day, earning wins over Taylor Goguen (Elmira) and Avery Kibelbek (King) to advance to the finals. Klein fell by a tech fall in the championship match to earn runner-up. On the season, Klein holds a 3-2 record.
- Olivia's sister, Emily Klein took fourth after registering a pair of pins, before falling in her final two matches of the evening.
- Paityn DeLong grabbed a fourth-place finish at 155 after three consecutive wins to start her day. The freshman earned a tech fall and a pair of pins, before suffering a pair of losses.
- Ariel Ofri-Akman earned a fourth-place finish at 191. She started her day with two pins over wrestlers from Gannon and York.
- Zoe Gress took fifth place at 136. She bounced back after a loss in her second match and finished her day with a tech fall and two pins to earn fifth.
- Alanna Barberio placed sixth at 116. After falling to nationally-ranked Melanie Mendoza, Barberio bounced back with three wins before a loss in the fifth-place match.
- Mia Macaluso and Jackeline Ramos-Oviedo tied for sixth place at 123. After starting her day with a fall in 30 seconds, Macaluso fell to Virginia Foard by tech fall. Macaluso finished strong with five consecutive victories to escape with sixth-place.
- Ramos-Oviedo also bounced back with a loss in her second match, earning three consecutive wins by 10-0 tech falls to close the day.
