EAST STROUDSBURG – On Tuesday, the College Sports Communicators (CSC) announced that East Stroudsburg University volleyball student-athletes Kaitlin Bruchhauser, Anna Coulter, Kaylee LoPresto and Sydney Stone were named to the Academic All-District Team.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of contests.
Bruchhauser earned her first-ever College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection as she pursues her master's degree in biology with a 3.89 grade-point average. On the court, the Litchfield Park native started in 24 matches while recording 70 kills, 19 digs and 25 blocks, which included a career-high six at New Haven.
Coulter continued to accumulate the postseason awards as the sophomore was previously honored as the PSAC East Athlete of the Year and to the All-PSAC East, D2CCA and AVCA All-Atlantic Region First Teams. The Hershey native produced three straight PSAC East Athlete of the Week awards from October 23 through November 6 and led ESU with 322 kills, 4.23 points per set, a .407 hitting percentage and 87 blocks. She currently holds a 3.96 GPA as a sport management major.
LoPresto is named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second consecutive year and becomes the first two-time selection in program history. The Litchfield Park native is a two-time Second Team All-PSAC East honoree and recorded her second straight 250-250 kills/digs season in 2023. She's currently pursuing a master's degree in communication sciences & disorders, holding a 3.76 GPA.
Stone is honored on the CSC Academic All-District Team for the first time in her career as the Avon native currently holds a 3.78 GPA as she obtains her master's degree in accounting. She played in all 29 matches, making 13 starts while notching 188 kills, 19 digs and 25 blocks.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
