EAST STROUDSBURG – At the second annual Northeast Region 1 Duals, the No. 10 East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team took second place, finishing 3-1 on the afternoon with victories over No. 22 Elmira, Western New England, and No. 9 NJCU, while falling regional dual champion No. 5 Sacred Heart on Sunday at Koehler Fieldhouse.
With the 3-1 record on the day, the Warriors improved its duals record to 4-2.
ESU opened the meet with a 37-10 victory over EC. After a bye in round two, ESU lost to top-five ranked foe Sacred Heart, 34-12. The Warriors bounced back with dominant wins over Western New England (43-6) and No. 9 NJCU (41-9) to salvage second place in the region.
