DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team turned in another impressive performance as the Warriors took 10th out of 39 teams at the 50th UMass Dartmouth Invitational on Sunday morning at the Robert Dowd Cross Country Course.

The event was moved from Saturday due to inclement weather.

Running in the 8K, Landon Boyle paced the Warriors for the second consecutive race as the sophomore placed 49th with a season-best time of 25:59.08.

Freshman Ethan Holcomb was next in 53rd after lowering his previous time by over a minute at 26:04.51 and fellow classmate Cory Miduri took 68th with a time of 26:21.82. Newcomers Jack Becker (72nd – 26:24.12) and Liam Hansberry (86th – 26:49.96) rounded out the scoring for the Warriors.

Freshman Bryce Keenoy recorded a top-100 finish in 88th with a time of 26:51.51, while Tim Gale (145th – 27:55.41) and Emmanuel Gitonga (162nd – 28:14.79) capped off the finished for ESU.

In the 8K JV race, freshman Lucas Thaler posted a 51st-place finish after crossing the line in 28:21.47.

Up Next

The Warriors have another two week break in between competitions as ESU travels to Lehigh for the Paul Short Run on Saturday, September 30. The race is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m. from the Goodman Campus Cross Country Course.
