LOCK HAVEN – On Monday, the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference announced that East Stroudsburg University volleyball setter Taylor Haan was named the PSAC East Athlete of the Week following her performance at the ESU Tri-Match.

Helping the Warriors get back to .500 mark with a pair of victories, Haan averaged 9.1 assists, 2.1 digs, and 1.0 aces per set to go along with a .332 set percentage. On Friday against Georgian Court, Haan totaled 28 assists, five digs, two kills and one ace. She followed it up on Saturday with 26 assists, seven digs, six aces, two blocks and two kills versus Saint Rose, before closing out the weekend with 28 assists, seven digs and two aces in a sweep of Chestnut Hill.

Among PSAC rankings, the Phoenix, Arizona native is currently fourth in assists per set (9.3), seventh in aces per set (0.56), eighth in total assists (251) and 13th in aces (15).

Haan receives a weekly honor for the first time in her career and is the second consecutive Warrior to be recognized by the conference as senior Makayla Baca was tabbed as the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week on September 11. Haan becomes the first ESU player to earn Athlete of the Week honors since Kaylee LoPresto on August 29, 2022.
