EAST STROUDSBURG – Earning first-place finishes in 10 of the 14 events, the East Stroudsburg swimming team earned a 157-104 victory over Kutztown on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.
The Warriors (5-2) open the 2024 portion of its schedule with revenge, after falling to the Golden Bears twice this season. Kutztown (5-4) falls for the third consecutive meet.

- Along with taking first place in 10 events, the Warriors totaled 21 top-three finishes on the afternoon.
- The Warriors took first place and third place in both relay events, which accounted for a total of 26 points.

Vera Renshof combined for a mark of 1:52.20, topping the previous best ESU mark of 1:52.46 set at the Cougar Invitational. The Warriors took a 13-4 edge, with Samantha Grayauskie,

Avery Fohring and
Emily Gambler taking third in the event (1:59.21).

Alyssa Brown (12:09.51) took second and third in 1000-yd freestyle, as the Warriors led 20-16 following two events.

Helia Wang (2:07.77), as ESU extended its advantage to 33-22.

Kennedy Leveto (1:09.22) topped the competition in the 100-yd breaststroke, with
Mia Estep (1:15.66) earning a fourth-place finish in the event. ESU earned 12 points in the event to extend its edge to 54-39.

Avery Fohring (2:24.42),
Helia Wang (2:35.66) and
Ellie Parido (2:41.66) took the top three spots. The Warrior lead grew to 70-41.

Vera Renshof (24.56) paced the 50-yd freestyle to add nine points herself to the Warriors' team score.
Emily Gambler (27.15) added a pair of points with the fourth-place finish. At the halfway point, ESU grabbed an 81-49 lead.

Gabby Ciesla (1:00.23) took fourth in the event to add another two points for ESU. The Warriors led 92-57 to gain some separation.
9 | Despite not taking first in the 200-yd backstroke, ESU took second, third and fourth, as Kutztown only cut the Warrior lead by one-point in the event.

Rachel Heggenstaller (2:27.19) combined for nine points. The Warriors reached the century mark first, taking a 101-67 advantage.

Kennedy Leveto (2:33.23) earned her second first-place finish of the afternoon in the 200-yd breaststroke to top two Golden Bears in the event. ESU lead grew to 111-76.
11 | ESU took three of the top four spots in the 500-yd freestyle, led by
Anique Hazebroek's (5:23.20) first-place finish. Hazebroek,
Madison Tafe (3rd, 5:53.00), and
Alyssa Brown (4th, 5:56.05) combined to add 14 points, as the Warriors led 125-81 heading into the home stretch.

Emily Gambler (1:04.58) took first and second in the 100-yd butterfly, while
Nina Marchese took fourth (1:08.73). ESU's commanding lead grew to 140-85.
13 | In the final individual event, Kutztown took first, second place and fourth place, while
Helia Wang (2:22.75) took third place to salvage three points in the 200-yd individual medley. Heading into the final relay, the Warriors took a 144-100 advantage.
