No. 18 ESU Routs Five Opponents to Capture Warriors Duals Invitational Championship

EAST STROUDSBURG – The No. 18 East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team displayed dominance in its first competition of the 2024 calendar year at the Warrior Duals Invitational, earning victories in all five matches and outscored the opposition by a combined score of 229-15 on Saturday inside Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU defeated Hiram (44-2), Cedar Crest (43-5), Southern Virginia (42-6) and blanked both Utica (50-0) and Alfred State (50-0) to add hardware to its trophy case. A total of 18 Warriors combined to win 48 of the 50 total matches to open the new year. In extra matches, ESU added victories in five of the six contests for a total record of 53-3 at the invitational.

With the five team wins, the Warriors (12-2) doubled their winning streak and have now won 10 consecutive matches during the 2023-24 season.
