DANVILLE, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University golf team combined to shoot +98, securing fourth place at the Husky Invitational, hosted by Bloomsburg at Frosty Valley Resort on Thursday afternoon.
Abby Beyer and Samantha Young each carded a +19 (91) on the par-72 course to lead the Warriors, tying for 13th place.
Also competing for ESU were Morgyn Wiley (24th, +29, 102) and Brooke Pawelski (27th, +31, 104), both finishing in the top 30 of the nearly 40 participants.
The four Warriors helped secure their best finish of the season, finishing a stroke ahead of Shepherd to claim fourth place among eight teams.
Millersville won the event at +63, with Bloomsburg's Gold Team finishing a stroke behind (+64) for runner-up honors on its home course. Jefferson followed in third (+75), while Bloomsburg's Maroon Team (6th, +126), Scranton (7th, +128), and Lock Haven (8th, +135) rounded out the competition.
ESU has a quick turnaround, heading to Schuylkill Country Club on Sunday for the Albright Fall Invitational, followed by the Lebanon Valley Invitational at Lebanon Country Club on Monday.
