2024 men's cross country team hoists second place trophy

Men's Cross Country Matches Program Best Second Place Finish at PSAC Championships

KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Led by junior Landon Boyle, the East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team placed second at the 2024 PSAC Championships on Saturday morning at the North Campus Farm Loop Cross Country Course.

ESU, which was picked to finish fourth in the PSAC Preseason Poll, tied its best performance in program history. This was the fifth time the Warriors placed second, with the last occurrence in 2012.

ESU had two First Team All-PSAC honorees and three Second Team All-PSAC honorees.

Boyle (25:59.6) placed 12th, and sophomore Bryce Keenoy (26:01.7), who came in 14th, were the First Team All-PSAC honorees for the Warriors.

The Second Team All-PSAC honorees were redshirt junior Brian McGarrity (26:07.0) and sophomore Ethan Holcomb (26:14.4), who finished 17th and 18th, respectively. Freshman Andrew Tatesure (26:23.8) finished just behind them in 22nd.

Senior Evan Wooby (26:46.9), who just missed out on a second team placement, finished 31st. Freshman Joe Walker (27:06.2) came in 46th, and sophomore Jack Becker (27:22.6) placed 56th to round out the top seven for ESU.

Also representing the Warriors were freshman Nicholas Gdowik (27:38.3), sophomore Liam Hansberry (27:59.9), junior Andrew Dowdell (29:24.6), and junior Justin Walters (31:27.8).

The five PSAC honorees were the most since 2017, when ESU had four.
