MILLERSVILLE – The East Stroudsburg University women's golf team earned a fifth place finish at the Marauder Invitational on Monday at Iron Valley Golf Club.
Guiding the Warriors at the two-day event was Samantha Young as the junior fired a 190 (+46), which included an 89 in today's second round, to finish in 20th place at the par 72 course.
Abby Beyer was four spots behind in a tie for 24th place as the sophomore recorded a 197 (+53).
Junior Morgyn Wiley shot a 203 (+59) to finish in 27th place and fellow classmate Ellie Parido carded a 289 (+145) to take 29th.
Millersville took home the team title by one stroke over West Chester as the Marauders totaled a 693, which included 10 less strokes in the final round to surpass the Golden Rams. Bloomsburg's Noemi Kriszo won the individual honors with a 161 (+17), which included a 76 in yesterday's first round.
