KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Led by a 32nd place finish by East Stroudsburg University sophomore Abby Beyer and a 36th place finish by senior Samantha Young, the ESU golf team finished eighth at the Millersville Fall Invitational on Monday and Tuesday at the Berkleigh Golf Club.

Beyer shot a 90 (+18) on Monday and a 91 (+19) on Tuesday to combine for a +37 at the par 72 course to tie for 32nd place. Young followed close behind, tying for 36th place (+40).

Also competing for the Warriors were Morgyn Wiley (+58) and Brooke Pawelski (+74), who finished tied for 44th and 48th, respectively.

ESU teed off against Alvernia, West Chester, Millersville, Bloomsburg, Kutztown, California (Pa.) and Shepherd. Alvernia took first at the invitational, shooting a combined +50.

The Warriors return to action on Sun., Oct. 6 and Mon., Oct. 7 at the Kutztown Fall Invitational at Moselem Springs Golf Club.
