Swimming Puts Up Most Points in Series History in Win Over Lock Haven

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The East Stroudsburg swimming team coasted to a 187-75 victory over Lock Haven Saturday afternoon for its first head-to-head dual victory of the 2025-26 season.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
  • The Warriors won 12 of the 14 events on the day, leading to the most points in program history ESU scored going up against the Bald Eagles.
  • East Stroudsburg started the day off with a win in the 200-yard medley relay, with Ava Palochik, Emily Gambler, Kennedy Leveto, and Chelsea Chiu coming in with a time of 1:56.97.
  • Anique Hazebroek took the 200-yard freestyle by nearly 10 seconds, finishing with a time of 1:59.83.
  • Chiu and Emily McMenamin finished the 50-yard backstroke with the top two times in the event, adding 13 points to ESU's total.
  • The Warriors earned 17 of a possible 18 points in the 50-yard breaststroke, as Tamara Engler came in first and was followed by Leveto, Anna Stauffer, Alexis Fraundorfer, and Finley Musser.
  • Gambler picked up her second win of the day with a 1:02.24 finish in the 100-yard fly.
  • Stauffer and Mikayla Potts earned the top two finishes in the 50-yard freestyle with times of 25.83 and 26.28, respectively.
  • Vera Renshof eked out a win in the 100-yard freestyle off of a 57.38 time.
  • Leveto, Stauffer, and Mia Estep were the first three to finish in the 100-yard breaststroke, earning East Stroudsburg 16 points in the event.
  • Renshof picked up her second win of the day in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:36.63
  • The Warriors got the top three spots again in the 50-yard fly, as Hazebroek picked up the win and was followed by Leveto and Potts.
  • Potts followed that event up with a win in the 200-yard IM with a time of 2:22.21
  • In the final event of the day, Hazebroek, Potts, Stauffer, and Renshof capped the dual with a 1:43.86 for a win in the 200-yard free relay.

  • The Warriors hit the road for a tri-meet against Montclair State and Kutztown, starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25 in Montclair, N.J.
