READING, Pa. — The ESU women's wrestling team competed in a second tournament on Sunday, as they earned two placements in the 110-pound weight class at the Alvernia Open
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Tiana Savino finished the day with a third-place finish in her bracket, starting by pinning Alvernia's Grace Molloy in under a minute. She dropped her next match by decision, but rebounded with a win by fall against Perla Matista Garcia from Alvernia. In the final match, she was able to defeat her teammate Yenyia Terry by technical fall.
- Terry was the other placement for ESU, going 2-2 on the day. Terry started by defeating Matista Garcia by fall but was pinned in her next match. She pinned Molloy in under 30 seconds to advance to the third-place match, where Savino came out on top.
