YORK, Pa. - Anique Hazebroek completed her stellar championship meet with a third-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle, earning her first career individual medal.
This is also the highest finish in the event since 1987, when Jackie Ruton (18:17.09) placed third.

How It Happened - Session 7
In the 100-yard freestyle prelims,
Vera Renshof narrowly missed the A finals after swimming 52.27 seconds.
Anna Stauffer continued her freshman season by joining Renshof in the B final with her time of 52.91 seconds, lowering her seed time by a full second.
Brianna Wasem earned a spot in the C finals by swimming her season's best of 53.31 seconds.

The women's 200-yard backstroke featured the freshmen duo of
Mackenzie Spence (2:15.17) and
Ava Palochik (2:16.37).

Kennedy Leveto led the Warriors in the 200 breaststroke, swimming 2:29.51 and earning a spot in the C finals. Freshman
Tamara Engler swam 2:30.48 and claimed the final qualifying spot in the C finals.

To finish off the first session,
Alyssa Brown, competing in her first-ever event qualifying for PSACs, swam 19:05.58 and scored points for the Warriors with an 18th-place finish. Samantha Grayauskie also scored, finishing 22nd with a time of 19:20.70.

Anique Hazebroek will swim in the evening session after recording a top-eight time in the conference during the regular season.

How It Happened - Session 8
The final session of the 2025 PSAC Championships started with more history for the Warriors. Hazebroek once again broke her school record in the 1,650-yard freestyle, earning a bronze medal. She dropped the hammer in the final 50 yards, recording 28.90 seconds to secure third place by a margin of 0.06 seconds. Her time of 17:26.99 just missed the NCAA B cut standard of 17:20.73.

In the B finals of the 100-yard freestyle, Renshof placed 13th overall with a time of 52.62. Stauffer took 16th, swimming 52.96. Wasem recorded another personal best, finishing first in the C finals with a time of 52.79.

Leveto finished 18th overall with a swim of 2:28.27, lowering her prelim time, while Engler came in 22nd with a new collegiate best of 2:30.44.

In the 400-yard freestyle relay, the final event of the meet, another school record fell for the Warriors. The quartet of Wasem, Stauffer, Hazebroek, and Renshof combined to set their second school record of the day, swimming 3:31.42.
