11 Warriors to Represent ESU at NCWWC National Championships

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team had an impressive showing at the NCWWC Women's Region 2 Championships, with 11 Warriors qualifying for the national championships.
 
The Warriors advancing to the NCWWC National Championships in Coralville, Iowa, are Gianna Amendola (3rd), Ruth Ansah (2nd), Alanna Barberio (3rd), Tiffani Baublitz (1st), Zoe Gress (4th), Waverly KaneLong (2nd), Emily Klein (1st), Olivia Klein (1st), Selina Moore (2nd), Olivia Palmer (3rd), and Jackeline Ramos-Oviedo (1st).
 
Notable Performances
Four Warriors claimed titles in their respective weight classes. Olivia Klein dominated her bracket, pinning three consecutive opponents, including two pins in just 32 seconds during the quarterfinal and championship match.
 
Emily Klein was equally dominant, securing first-period pins in two of her three matches before capping her run with a second-period pin just 33 seconds into the frame.
 
Ramos-Oviedo took a different approach, winning her opening bout by technical fall before securing two decision victories, including a hard-fought 5-2 win in the final.
 
Baublitz rounded out the ESU champions, starting with a late first-period pin in the quarterfinals. She continued her dominance with a semifinal technical fall before finishing with a first-period pin to secure first place.
 
Up Next
The 11 Warriors will compete at the NCWWC National Championships from March 7-8 in Coralville, Iowa, at Xtream Arena.
