SPRINGFIELD, Mo. The No. 16 East Stroudsburg University STUNT team (8-7) concludes its weekend in Missouri with a 2-2 record over two days of competition.

Day 1
Warriors swept Day 1 of competition at the Drury University Tournament with two big wins over ranked, conference opponents No. 22 Quincy and No. 14 Purdue Northwest.

ESU shut out No. 22 Quincy with a score of 17-0 and surrendered only 8 points to No. 14 Purdue Northwest in the team's 15-8 victory. Outstanding performances by the Jumps and Tumble athletes propelled the Warriors to victory in both matches. They secured wins in their respective rounds for skills spanning levels 1-6 across both matches. Â Â

Day 2
ESU faced two more ranked opponents on the second day of competition, No. 8 Maryville and No. 13 Drury.

In the first match of the day, the Warriors avoided being shut out by taking levels 2 and 5 in jumps and tumbling.

In the second game of the day, ESU dropped a nailbiter to a Great Lakes Conference competitor, Drury University. Warriors came back from an early 3-0 deficit to enter half-time down only 5-2. The team picked up even more momentum during jumps and tumbling to close the gap. The game came down to the final round, where the Warriors fell short in pyramids and tosses, resulting in an 8-7 loss. Â

The Warriors return to action next weekend with their final regular season competition at their home tournament in Koehler Fieldhouse. Games start at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 12 and 10 a.m. on Sunday, April 13.
