EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — East Stroudsburg University has once again demonstrated its commitment to academic success, as three of its athletic programs earned Top Team GPA Awards from the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) for the 2024–25 academic year.

In the PSAC's annual recognition of academic achievement across its 21 sponsored sports, ESU stood out among nine honored institutions, with its women's basketball (3.676 GPA), field hockey (3.576 GPA), and women's swimming (3.660 GPA) teams claiming the highest cumulative grade point averages in the conference.

The PSAC Top Team GPA Awards, now in their 14th year, celebrate the athletic programs that combine competitive excellence with outstanding academic performance. Slippery Rock University led the conference overall, boasting a 3.489 institutional GPA and five top-performing teams, while East Stroudsburg proudly tied for third in the number of team honors.

This year's awards also saw a slight uptick in the PSAC's overall academic performance, with an average GPA of 3.338 across the conference, marking the third straight year of growth.
