EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. - The Men's and Women's Cross Country teams are set to kick off their 2025 season this Saturday, September 6th at the Doug Watts Open at Pennwest Edinboro.

ESU Women's team was selected to finish 2
nd in the PSAC and 3
rd in the Atlantic Region in the preseason polls.
Who's Back
Led by Junior
Payton Falkenstein, the women bring a lot of experience to this season with several team members having national level experience and all-conference accolades from last season.
In addition to being an All-Region performer last year in cross country, at the PSAC Track & Field Championships, Falkenstein claimed gold and bronze in the indoor 5k and 3k, respectively, as well as silver in the outdoor 10k last year.
Sophomore
Riley Trentowski has made large strides coming into this Fall. Returning from last season with Regional and National experience, Trentowski also claimed gold in the indoor 800m and silver in the outdoor 1500m at the PSAC Track & Field Championships last year.
Junior
Carla Bautista ran to first-team all-conference honors at last year's PSAC Cross Country Championships. She and Trentowski also ran on the women's 5
th place distance-medley relay from the Indoor PSAC Track & Field Championships.
Junior Gaby Orama ran to second-team all-conference honors at last year's PSAC Cross Country Championships.
Along with Bautista and Orama, fellow junior
Mia Sisilli, as well as seniors
Megan Elgrim and
Kelly Martin return with experience from last year's Regional and National Teams.
Providing depth for the Warriors are senior
Alycia Smith, sophomores
Sidney Hutt and
Marissa McDougall, and juniors
Tara Haring,
Hannah Skelly, and
Kiera Wimbush, all of whom have been impactful in previous seasons.
Who's New
Freshmen Sarah Williams looks to contribute to the Warrior's success as one of the fastest recruits joining the PSAC this season.
Fellow freshmen Ashley Landis and Morgan Salmon will also look to make an impact in their first year.

Landon Boyle, the men bring one of the deepest teams in the PSAC this season.
With five all-conference runners returning and a 1-5 spread of twenty-four seconds in last year's championships, the Warriors will provide stiff competition for many PSAC teams.

Bryce Keenoy were both first team all-conference last season as well as scorers in the 10k from last Spring's PSAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.

Andrew Tatesure, who all ran to second-team all-conference honors in last year's PSAC Championships.
Providing returning depth, the Warriors will look to Seniors

Liam Hansberry,
Cory Miduri,
Jack Becker,
Tim Gale, and
Lucas Thaler, and sophomores Nick Gdowik and
Joe Walker, all of whom have regional level experience from previous seasons.
Who's New
Freshmen Ben Pentz and Aiden Voth will also look to provide support for this deep men's team in their first seasons at ESU.
