COLCHESTER, VT. – The East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball team concluded the Windjammer Classic with a 0.500 record splitting matches with Franklin Pierce and Nebraska-Kearney.
The Warriors, now 2-2 on the season, dominated Franklin Pierce in three sets (25-19, 25-19, 25-13) and fell in their last match of the tournament to Nebraska-Kearney (25-20, 25-13, 25-18).
Notables vs. Franklin Pierce
Anna Couter led the team with nine kills – ESU posted 32 total kills on the Ravens.
Romina Martinez accounted for five of ESU's eleven aces, posted eight kills, three blocks, and nine digs.
Katalin Kovacs had 25 assists in the match and seven digs.
Harry Berry posted five blocks for the Warriors.
Marta Leeland led the team with 16 digs and had four assists in the match.
Notables vs. Nebraska-Kearney
Allison Birtcil had a team leading eight kills.
Coulter ended the match with seven kills, one ace, and six blocks.
Kovacs led the team with 25 assists and had four blocks and one ace.
Leeland had back to back matches with 16 digs.
Windjammer Classic All-Tournament Team
Coulter and Leeland both earned spots on the All-Tournament Team.
