Coulter Selected to PSAC Fall Top 10

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- East Stroudbsurg University women's volleyball senior Anna Coulter was named to the Pennsylvania State Athlete Conference (PSAC) Fall Top 10, announced by the league Wednesday afternoon. 

Initiated in the 1998-99 academic year, the PSAC Top 10 Awards are designed to recognize student-athletes who excel in both the classroom and in athletic competition. The Top 10 Award is selected by the conference's sports information directors and given to five males and five females in each athletic season: fall, winter and spring. 

In the classroom, Coulter maintains a 3.96 GPA while majoring in sports management.  

This marks Coulter's 12th honor of the postseason. Previously, she has been named PSAC First Team, PSAC East Athlete of the Year, D2CCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year, D2CCA All-Region First Team, D2CCA All-America First Team, AVCA Atlantic Region Player of the Year, AVCA All-Region First Team, AVCA All-America Third Team, NCAA Atlantic Region All-Tournament Team, CSC Academic All-District, and CSC Academic All-American First Team. 

This season in the record book, Coulter ranked first in blocks (200), first in blocks/set (1.65), fifth in kills (439), 11th in kills/set (3.63), fifth in attack percentage (.356), and recorded 600 points. Anna led the conference in blocks/set, points/set, total blocks, total points, and was second in total kills, third in hitting percentage, and fourth in kills/set this season. Nationally, Coulter ranked second in blocks/set, first in total blocks, 12th in points/set, 25th in total kills, and 31st in hitting percentage.    

Closing her career, in the record book she ranked fifth in sets played (424), third in kills (1,364), fourth in kills/set (3.22), first in attack percentage (.370), first in blocks (518), second in blocks/set (1.22), and owns two freshman records.  
 
ESU and the PSAC Top 10 award 

Coulter becomes the 65th IUP student-athlete and first volleyball player to earn PSAC Top 10 honors. The 65 total selections are fourth all-time behind Slippery Rock (92), Shippensburg (83), and IUP (74).
