EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — Women's tennis took on the Indiana (Pa.) Crimson Hawks to close their fall season, falling 7-0 on Saturday afternoon. The Warriors fall to 2-2 as they look ahead to the spring.
HOW IT HAPPENED
At the top of doubles action,
Jenna Kastell and
Ariel Kelsick took one game but ultimately fell 6-1. Similarly,
Lea Stefanovic and
Elessa Jacobs also took a 6-1 loss.
Audrey Conover and
Stella Kammandel were defeated, 6-0, to give Indiana (Pa.) the doubles sweep.
In singles, Stefanovic was held to just one game in the first set, but she turned it up in the second by taking four games. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to prevent the two-set loss. Kelsick took two games in her first set and improved to three but also fell in two sets. Kastell looked to have a strong matchup in the No. 3 match with four games in the first set, but she was unable to improve on it in the second. Taking two games in her first set was Jacobs before she also fell in the second. Conover took her first match loss of the season after being held to one game between both sets. In the final singles spot, Kammandel took a game in each set, but fell short.
UP NEXT
After concluding the fall season with a 2-2 record, ESU continues in the spring, looking to repeat as PSAC East champions.
