COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — After knocking off second-ranked Shippensburg last weekend, the ESU field hockey team swapped spots with the Raiders to jump up to No. 2 in the latest National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) poll.

The Warriors, who are now 7-1 overall and 1-0 in conference, moved up a pair of spots from number four following their win over Shippensburg. The remaining eight teams in the ranking remained the same, with the only other movement being Slippery Rock and Indiana (Pa.) switching places, so The Rock is now seventh and the Crimson Hawks are eighth. ESU jumped up over No. 3 Newberry, with Kutztown still holding the top ranking.

Two of the Warriors' next three games come against ranked opponents, as they'll host No. 5 West Chester this Saturday at 1 p.m. and No. 9 Saint Anselm on Monday at 1 p.m. Before that, they'll travel to Mansfield to take on the Mountaineers at 4 p.m. tomorrow evening.
