LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — Freshman
Zosia Wozakowska has gotten off to a dominant start to her career, and after adding multiple top-10 times to ESU's record book, she's been named the PSAC Women's Swimmer of the Week.
The Lublin, Poland native had a standout performance in ESU's dual against Millersville, winning three individual events and shooting up the conference and Division II ranks. Her best event on Saturday was the 400-Yard IM, finishing with a time of 4:37.64. Wozakowska's time is the best in the PSAC, ranks 27th in Division II, is the second-best time in program history, and set the Millersville Pool Record. That wasn't the only pool record she set as the visitor, doing so in the 200-Yard Breaststroke as well with a time of 2:25.05. As the fastest swimmer in the conference in that event last week, she moved up to second this season. In her third event win of the day, she swam the 200-Yard Freestyle in 1:58.41; the eighth-best time this season in the conference and the fastest this week.
Wozakowska and the Warriors wrap up their fall schedule over the next couple of weeks, heading to Staten Island for a tri-meet against the Dolphins and Southern Connecticut State before heading to Lancaster, Pa., for the F&M Invitational.
