2025-26 ESU SWIMMING HIGHLIGHTS
  • The Warriors opened the season with a tri-meet against Bloomsburg and Shippensburg, hitting seven PSAC qualifying times and breaking a school record. In her first collegiate meet, Chelsea Chiu set a new record in the 50-yard backstroke during the 200-yard medley relay, recording a time of 26.96.
  • ESU swam head-to-head against Lock Haven next, scoring 187 points, the most the Warriors have ever scored against the Bald Eagles.
  • In November, ESU broke multiple records in its meet against Millersville at home. Anique Hazebroek was the first Warrior to set a new mark, posting a time of 10:24.12 in the 1,000-yard freestyle, which broke an 11-year team record. Tamara Engler went on to set two new records: 1:06.66 in the 100-yard backstroke and 30.12 in the 50-yard breaststroke. Hazebroek was also recognized by the conference as its Co-Athlete of the Week for her performance.
  • Building off that, the Warriors had four more record-breaking times at the F&M Invitational. Hazebroek broke the record for the 500-yard freestyle in the preliminary round, then broke her record again in the finals, finishing with a time of 4:59.75, which was also an NCAA B Cut qualifying time. Later on the first day of the meet, Anna Stauffer, Hazebroek, Chiu, and Vera Renshof set a new record with 1:37.35 in the 200-yard freestyle relay. The next day, Chiu, Engler, Hazebroek, and Renshof set another record with a 1:47.83 finish in the 200-yard medley relay. Wrapping up the three-day meet, Hazebroek made another entry into the record book by finishing the 1,650-yard freestyle in 17:16.99, which also made the NCAA B Cut.
