EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The ESU STUNT team opened its 2026 season going 3-1 at home with two games each on Saturday and Sunday. The Warriors split with a win against Centenary and a loss to Malone on the first day, but beat both Misericordia and Randolph on the second.
DAY ONE
On the start of the tournament, ESU took on Centenary in its first game, defeating the Ladies 27-4. ESU opened the game by shutting out Centenary through the first two and a half quarters, building up a 9-0 lead before the Ladies got on the board. Centenary's only points of the game came in the second and fourth rounds of the third quarter, and the second round of the fourth quarter. The Warriors were held scoreless once all game, coming in the last section of the first round of the final quarter. In their second game, they narrowly fell to Malone 21-16. After the first two quarters, the Warriors trailed 8-2. ESU fared better in the third quarter, but the teams traded 3-2 scores in the fourth as Malone held on in the modified game.
DAY TWO
The Warriors' game against Misericordia started off with the teams neck-and-neck with each other, but after the first quarter, East Stroudsburg gradually pulled away. ESU won the first two rounds of the opening period, but went into the second quarter tied 4-4. The Warriors went on to outscore 4-1, 5-3, and 11-5 in the last three periods to start the second day with a win. In their final game of the tournament, ESU shut out Randolph in a modified game. The Warriors won and scored in every single round, putting up a perfect 12-0 final.
