ERIE, Pa. — The ESU STUNT team picked up a pair of wins in three games this weekend, defeating Albright in Dallas, Pa., on Friday night before splitting Saturday with a win over Aquinas and a loss to Mercyhurst.
The Warriors dominated the Lions in their first contest of the weekend, shutting out Albright, 23-0. ESU scored in every round of the game, leading 12-0 after the third quarter. The Warriors poured it on in the fourth, outscoring the Lions 11-0 to complete the shutout.
In Erie at Mercyhurst, the Warriors trailed 12-8 heading into the final quarter against the Lakers. However, Mercyhurst would pull away with a strong final frame, winning the quarter 15-8. Looking to bounce back against Aquinas in a modified game, ESU picked up its second shutout of the weekend. The Warriors defeated Aquinas by the final score of 12-0, improving their record to 10-12.
