PSAC Reveals First Winter Academic All-Conference List

4/7/2026 11:00:00 AM

LOCK HAVEN, Pa. — The Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) announced its first Winter Academic All-Conference Teams on Tuesday morning, with ESU leading the conference again with 13 student-athletes earning the honor.

Eligible teams for the Winter 2025-26 team are men's and women's basketball, men's and women's swimming and diving, and men's wrestling. After leading the conference in the year with 32 student-athletes being named to the 2025 Fall Academic All-Conference Team, the Warriors are pacing the PSAC once again, leading with 13. East Stroudsburg is one of five institutions with at least 10 student-athletes recognized, with Shippensburg having the second-most with 12.

In its inaugural year, the awards program was created to increase academic recognition for high-achieving student-athletes, which was a priority for the Conference's membership highlighted in its most recent Strategic Plan. The Academic All-Conference teams have been adopted with the following requirements:
  • Undergraduate and Graduate Student-Athletes must have completed four semesters academically at the nominating campus with at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Student-athletes must have met a minimum of participation requirements. For team sport selections, this includes playing in 70% of a team's contests (through the conference championship date.) For individual sports, there are unique participation requirements that are detailed in this document.

Recognition is based solely on meeting the above criteria. GPAs were calculated through the previous completed semester (Fall 2025). In total, 121 student-athletes across all 17 PSAC institutions qualified for the Winter 2025-26 PSAC Academic All-Conference Teams.
