ST. JOHN'S, Antigua and Barbuda — Ariel Kelsick has been selected by the Antigua and Barbuda Tennis Association (ABTA) to represent her country at the Billy Jean King Cup from June 15-20 in El Salvador.
Kelsick was one of four players named to the team as the squad will compete in the Americas Group III. They'll compete against teams from Barbados, Bermuda, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Jamaica, Panama, Suriname, and Trinidad & Tobago. Cordell Williams, captain and coach of the team, said he anticipates Kelsick having a strong tournament, attributing that to her success while playing for ESU.
The 10 teams will be split into two round-robin pools of five between June 15-19, with playoffs beginning on June 20. The two teams to win their promotional playoff advance to Americas Group II in 2027. More information can be found at the tournament's website
