EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. — The East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team has announced that Avery Francis '26 will join the program this season as the assistant coach. 

Francis joins the program as the assistant coach after spending the past two seasons as the graduate assistant for both the women's and men's soccer teams at ESU. She assisted the coaching staff with daily team operations and administrative responsibilities both on and off the field. She also supported practice preparation, game day operations, and other logistics to ensure efficient team operations. 

"I am incredibly excited for the opportunity to continue working with the ESU women's soccer program as an assistant coach," Francis said. "I have loved being part of this program, and I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and help our players succeed both on and off the field. I am grateful to Coach Jamison for this opportunity and excited to continue being a part of the Warrior family." 

As the assistant coach, Francis will continue to handle administrative tasks, practice preparations, and planning for competitions, recruiting, and scouting efforts. She will also oversee off-field team functions, including community service initiatives, fundraising events, alumni functions, and team-building activities.  

"From the moment I arrived at ESU, it was very evident that Avery was a crucial part of this program," first-year head coach Tayler Jamison said. "I knew early on that she would also be an integral part of our success going forward. She has embraced the vision for the future, invested in our student-athletes, and has consistently gone above and beyond what is asked of her. We are grateful that she has chosen to continue at ESU. I'm excited to have her alongside me as we continue building the standards and culture we envision for ESU women's soccer." 

As an undergraduate student, Francis was a member of both the women's soccer and women's track and field programs at Susquehanna University. Francis was a team services venue officer for the 2026 FIFA World Cup for the Senegal team. She oversaw daily training site operations and provided support for the team. Since May of 2025, she has also been a game day operations team member for the NJ/NY Gotham FC team. She supports all aspects of game day operations at Sports Illustrated Stadium, provides hands-on operational support, and assists with stadium conversion and hospitality arrangements. 

Francis graduated from Susquehanna University in 2024 with bachelor's degrees in Management and Communication Arts. She completed her master's degree in Sport Administration at ESU in 2026.
