MILL HALL, Pa. — The ESU women's golf team opened 2026-27 with a strong start at the Lock Haven Invitational, finishing as the runners-up with the top four players each posting a score of 90 or better.
 

NOTABLES

• Senior Abby Beyer led the way for the Warriors, finishing third overall with a score of 84. Shooting +13, she had two birdies and six pars.
• Freshman Marissa Goodman had an impressive collegiate debut in her first appearance for the Warriors, ending with a score of 87 for a fifth-place finish. Right behind her was sophomore Samantha Boger, who put up a score of 88 to finish tied for sixth individually. 
• Rounding out the team scorers for ESU, freshman Mariana Walker added an overall score of 90, finishing in 10th place. Walker helped ESU's top four players all finish in the top-ten, parring six holes.
   

UP NEXT
The Warriors head to Berkleigh Golf Club in Kutztown, Pa., next for Millersville's fall tournament. The two-day meet begins at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14.
