NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team was selected fifth in the preseason edition of the 2026 NCAA DII Men's Cross Country Regional Rankings, released Wednesday by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). 

The Warriors were also selected to finish second in the PSAC Preseason Poll after finishing as runners-up the past two seasons. ESU earned seven All-PSAC honors and had 10 runners finish in the top 50 at the 2025 PSAC Championships. At the NCAA Atlantic Regional, two runners earned All-Region honors while the team placed fifth. Charleston (W.Va.), Shippensburg, Fayetteville State, and Davis & Elkins round out the top five, with the Warriors coming in fifth.

The Warriors will open the 2026 season at the WSSU Rams Atlantic Preview hosted by Winston-Salem on Friday, Sept. 25.
