2024–25 Season Highlights: Senior center Emily Chmiel turned in one of the most dominant seasons in program history, earning All-PSAC First Team, D2CCA All-Atlantic Region First Team, WBCA NCAA Division II Coaches’ All-America Honorable Mention, and D2 All-America Second Team honors.
Chmiel led the Warriors with 22.3 points, 12.3 rebounds, and 1.2 blocks per game, posting 15 double-doubles while shooting 52.0% from the field and 77.4% at the line. She scored 30 or more points four times, including a program-record 37-point explosion at Lock Haven (Jan. 11) and dropped 34 points vs. California (PA) (Dec. 7). Defensively, she registered a season-best 5 blocks and 4 steals at West Chester (Feb. 19).
She also recorded multiple 18-rebound performances, including 18 boards and 29 points at Mansfield (Feb. 22) and 18 rebounds at Kutztown (Jan. 29). Finishing the year with 625 points, 344 rebounds, and 36 blocks, Chmiel became East Stroudsburg’s first women’s basketball All-American and one of the most decorated players in school history.
Junior (2023-2024) (Season Stats): Named LVSCBO's Team of the Year... PSAC East Athlete of the Week (Mar. 4)… played in all 28 games, making 15 starts… averaged 9.3 points, and 6.8 rebounds in 16.7 minutes per game… registered career-high as a warrior, 28 points at Mansfield (1/31)… 33 minutes played vs Bloomsburg (2/21)… 13 rebounds at Kutztown (2/28)… 5 blocks vs Shippensburg (1/20), and 3 steals vs Millersville (1/27)… totaled 260 points, 3 assists, 191 rebounds, 31 blocks, and 12 steals in 468 minutes in her first season as a warrior.
Chestnut Hill (2021-23): Named the 2021-22 CACC Rookie of the Year and to the CACC Second Team … CACC Third Team selection in 2022-23 … played in 59 games, making 14 starts … averaged 11.2 points, 7.4 rebounds and 1.3 blocks in 20.4 minutes per game.
Background: Two-year starter at Central Bucks East High School … two-time All-State selection … named First Team All-League twice … helped the Patriots capture the league championship in 2020-21 … 1,000 point scorer … majoring in exercise science.
