MEDIA SERVICES
All requests for working credentials, special features, interviews and photographs should be directed to Connor Glunt (cglunt@esu.edu) and/or Sam Traini (straini@esu.edu)

CREDENTIALS
Media credentials are required for field and press box access for all ESU home events. To request a credential, contact Connor Glunt or Sam Traini at least 24-48 hours before the date of the event. Press area space is limited and will be assigned at the Athletic Communications office's discretion. The ESU Athletic Communications office has the right to refuse any credential request that is deemed not to be in the best interest of East Stroudsburg University or its athletics department. To request a credential, contact Connor Glunt or Sam Traini with the specific event, date and time of the contest, your contact information, the media outlet you represent, and any special accommodations needed.

PHOTOGRAPHERS
Credentials for sideline photography should be requested in writing per credentials guidelines. Photography credentials are issued to media and department photographers only. Photographers must remain outside the restraining line enclosing the field at Eiler-Martin Stadium and must remain off the court at all times at Koehler Fieldhouse. Those who do not have a credential are not permitted to photograph ESU Athletics events.

INTERVIEWS
All requests for interviews with players and coaches must be made through the Athletic Communications Office or head coach, NOT through the players. Failure to comply with this rule and directly contact student-athletes for interviews may result in the loss of credentialing to future events. No interviews will be granted Friday evening or Saturday prior to football contests. Post-game interviews will follow a 10-minute "cooling off" period after the contest. All weekday interviews will take place before or after practice unless agreed upon by the coaching staff and Athletic Communications Office.

SIDELINE POLICY
In compliance with NCAA rules for the safety of competitors, officials, game management staff, and fans, field level is only for those who are working the events for ESU Athletics, administrators, and credentialed media members. Credentialed press must keep at least a 12-foot buffer between themselves and the sideline. Sideline access DOES NOT grant access to team bench areas. Access to the following areas on ESU's home facilities are prohibited:
  • Eiler-Martin Stadium (Football): Home and Away benches on either sideline.
  • Eiler-Martin Stadium (Soccer): Home and Away benches on the far sideline.
  • Whitenight Field (Field Hockey & Women's Lacrosse): Home and Away benches on the far sideline and must be on the outside of the cement border outlining the playing field.
  • Koehler Fieldhouse (Women's Volleyball): To switch sides, photographers must go behind the curtains to not interfere with gameplay or intrude on team areas.
  • Koehler Fieldhouse (Men's & Women's Basketball): On each sideline, photographers must be beyond the red outline. On each baseline, photographers must be beyond the black outline.
  • Koehler Fieldhouse (Men's & Women's Wrestling): Photographers must remain off the mats at all times.
  • Creekview Park (Baseball & Softball): Home and Away dugouts.
  • Wolbers Courts (Women's Tennis): Photographers must wait for breaks in play to navigate between and around courts, as well as enter fenced-in areas.

PRESS BOX (Eiler-Martin Stadium)
ESU's working facilities at Eiler-Martin Stadium are located at the top of the bleachers on the home side of the facility. The press box contains five booths. Space is reserved for the home coaching staff, visiting coaching staff, ESU radio broadcast, and the ESU television broadcast. For visiting radio broadcasts, there is an uncovered stand with outlet access to the left of the press box facing the field. Open space in the press box is reserved for traveling athletic communications staff, and remaining chairs are assigned to credentialed press.

PRESS TABLE (Koehler Fieldhouse)
ESU's working facilities at Koehler Field are located on the bench side of the facility. Space is limited and credentials are issued on a first-come, first-served basis. Additional press and visiting radio broadcasts will set up in the row above the bleachers behind the bench-side sideline. Accommodations can be made to set up work stations at tables behind the endlines of the court.

CLUBHOUSE (Creekview Park)
ESU's working facilities at Creekview Park are located on the second floor of the clubhouse between the baseball and softball fields. To access the clubhouse, the door is on the side of the baseball field behind the visiting team dugout. Space is limited for visiting radio broadcasts, so requests must be made at least one week in advance to reserve an area. Press will be able to have a work station at the main table on the second floor and spectate the game either from the clubhouse or beyond the fencing.

SERVICES
Working media and scouts will be supplied with gameday programs and pre-game notes and statistics (as available). Complete halftime statistics will be available, along with a complete statistics package and play-by-play provided at the completion of the contest (as available).

RADIO
Permission to broadcast must be obtained from the Director of Athletic Communications & Marketing at least one week in advance of the game. ESU provides a courtesy telephone line and Ethernet port for visiting radio stations free of charge. The courtesy line number at Eiler-Martin Stadium and Koehler Fieldhouse are available upon request.

TELEVISION
Special arrangements must be made with ESU's Director of Athletics, Dr. Allen G. Snook Jr.

PRIVACY RESTRICTIONS
The Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) went into effect on April 14, 2003. Although the law was not initially intended for intercollegiate athletics, the law holds the university liable for its intent. Thus, East Stroudsburg University will not be allowed to comment on any health-related questions concerning our student-athletes. This pertains to coaches, student-athletes, the athletic training staff or anyone associated with East Stroudsburg University. We ask that you please refrain from asking questions concerning any injuries or health-related issues. All ESU personnel have been instructed to answer those types of questions with the following response. "Considering the HIPAA law, University policy does not allow me to discuss that." If you have any questions regarding the HIPAA law and ESU's policy, please contact the athletic communications office.
