Madison Kline ’24 returned to her alma mater prior to the 2026 season, as the former Warrior was named the ESU field hockey assistant coach on Aug. 5, 2026.
Kline played four seasons in the Poconos from 2019-23, finishing her playing career as one of the leaders in the program’s winningest senior class. During Kline’s playing days, she was a part of ESU’s second NCAA Championship team in 2022, three PSAC Champion squads, and went 73-13 (.849) as a player, which ranks as the most wins and best winning percentage of any four-year class in program history.
Kline played in all but one game during her career and started in each of the 42 games across her final two seasons. She led the Warriors in goals and points in those years, finishing with 26 goals and 12 assists for 64 career points. Kline was dubbed an NFHCA All-American in 2023 while earning the honor from Synapse Sports in both 2022 and 2023. She was also named to the All-PSAC Second Team in each of those seasons.
Following her graduation, Kline returned to her roots and gained experience with programs she played for. She coached camps at ESU for two summers as a student-athlete, and helped again in 2024. Going into that season, Kline became the head coach for Oley Valley Middle School, spending one season in that role. After that, she moved over to X-Calibur Field Hockey Club, where she played for seven years before college, as its head coach from Oct. 2024 to Nov. 2025.
Kline graduated from ESU in 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a minor in Communications.
