Robert Wouters, an international player/coach from The Netherlands, enters his eighth season as a volunteer coach for the Warriors under head coach Sandy Miller during the 2021 season.
He has helped the Warriors reach the NCAA Division II Tournament in each of the last four seasons, including the program's first-ever PSAC and Division II championships in 2015 and a Division II runner-up performance in 2018.
Wouters specializes in attacking plays and penalty corners, as well as video analysis and breakdown.
He graduated in 2005 with a bachelor's degree in Business Management from the "Hogere Economische Studies" in Amsterdam (Netherlands). He has played and coached field hockey for over 20 years. Along with volunteering at ESU, he owns and operates Warriors Field Hockey Club, a travel team based in East Stroudsburg. He also coaches ESU tournaments, clinics, tryouts and summer camps.
Wouters, a native of Leidschendam (Netherlands), completed his Level II coaching accreditation through USA Field Hockey in summer 2013.
