Dan Buccino joins ESU's cross country/track & field staff for his first season as a graduate assistant at his alma mater in 2018-19. Buccino was a four-year member of the cross country and track & field programs for the Warriors.
The Dunnellen, N.J., native earned second team All-PSAC accolades in cross country as a senior after placing 25th out of 146 runners at the conference meet. Buccino, who added a top 50 finish at the NCAA DII Atlantic Regional meet, was honored as the team's coaches' award recipient at the conclusion of the season.
On the track, Buccino was a seven-time PSAC qualifier in distance events, including all four eligible years in the outdoor 10,000m. He qualified for PSAC's in the 3000m and 5000m indoors in 2018, and he also advanced to the conference meet in the indoor 5000m as a junior.
Buccino graduated from ESU with a bachelor's degree in athletic training in 2018, and he is working towards his master's degree in the same discipline during his tenure as a graduate assistant.
