Mark Getz enters his fifth season as a volunteer assistant for ESU's wrestling program in 2023-24.
Getz, who wrestled for the Warriors in 1998-99, previously coached at Pleasant Valley High School for eight years. During his tenure there, he coached 25 state qualifiers and several state medalists. He was additionally honored as the 2012 PIAA District XI Coach of the Year. Getz continues to serve as a District XI wrestling official.
Prior to joining ESU as an undergrad, Getz was a three-year starter at Bloomsburg University. As a high school wrestler, Getz was a standout at Nazareth Area HS. During his high school career he was a PIAA state champion, Asics All-American and a member of the Dapper Dan PA All-Star team.
Getz was a member of the Junior Freestyle world team from 1998-2000.
