Graduate Student (2016-17): Won 10 of his 16 bouts while competing exclusively at 125 pounds … achieved a ranking as high as No. 11 nationally … debuted on Jan. 8 after missing the beginning of the season due to injury … won eight of his first nine bouts overall, with three via major decision … went 3-1 at the Kutztown Duals (Jan. 20-21), highlighted by a 12-1 major decision over Tiffin’s Landon Elliot … earned an 11-2 major decision over Gannon’s Abraham Guarriello (Jan. 27) … took national No. 1 Willie Bohince (Mercyhurst) to overtime with a third-period rally before ultimately falling by a 9-8 decision (Jan. 28) … advanced to the quarterfinals at the Super Region I Championship with an 11-5 decision over UPJ’s Sam Holandez in the opening round … finished with a 9-4 record in duals on the year.
