Bob Monica, a native of East Stroudsburg and 2004 graduate of East Stroudsburg South, is in his first year as the Warriors' equipment manager after arriving at ESU in May 2016.
Monica was previously a manager at Schutt Reconditioning in Easton from 2012-16, and was assistant equipment manager for the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League in 2011-12.
He is a member of AEMA (Athletic Equipment Managers Association) and is continuing his professional certification.
Monica is a 2010 graduate of Lambuth University (Jackson, Tenn.), where he was a member of the football program from 2006-09 under head coaches Vic Wallace and Hugh Freeze, currently head coach at Ole Miss. He earned his bachelor's degree in Sociology with a focus on Criminal Justice and a minor in History.
Monica's family has a strong tradition in the protective equipment industry. His father designs top-of-the-line shoulder pads, and his uncle is a former head equipment manager for three NFL teams - the Miami Dolphins, Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns.
Monica worked for the Philadelphia Eagles equipment staff during the 1999 preseason while the team held its camp at Lehigh University in Bethlehem.
