Connor Glunt was named the Director of Athletic Communications & Marketing in October 2025.

Glunt joins East Stroudsburg after completing his two-year graduate assistantship at Millersville University, where he graduated with a master’s degree in Sport Management in May 2025. Prior to that, he graduated from Ithaca College with a bachelor’s degree in Sports Media with minors in Journalism and Sport Studies.

Before coming to ESU, he spent three months as a Media & Communications Intern with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League. In his short time there, he worked side-by-side with the organization’s Communications Manager. Glunt led the 2025-26 class of interns, revamping the team’s game notes for home games, creating content on media day, and coordinating interviews with local media.

While at Millersville, Glunt was the primary contact for five of the university’s 19 varsity programs, handling all internal and external communications regarding the teams year-round. During his graduate assistantship, he completed two separate internships with Little League International, serving as the Media Relations Intern during the summer 2024, concluding with the 2024 Little League Baseball World Series. The following spring, he was the Communications Intern, working remotely while creating written content, conducting interviews, and analyzing social media trends and performances.

During his undergraduate studies, he completed an internship with the University of Southern California’s Sports Brands & Communications department, working as the lead intern for both the women’s lacrosse and baseball teams. He handled gameday operations such as inputting stats, managing social media, and coordinating media requests after games.

Before joining Ithaca College’s athletics department as an Athletic Communications Student Assistant in January 2022, he held roles as a Co-Producer for the ICTV show Big Red Faceoff, which followed Cornell University men’s and women’s ice hockey, and was the Sports Editor for The Ithacan. A writer for the publication for all four years of his time there, he won First Place in the 2022 Gold Circle Awards for Sports Writing and was a Mark of Excellence finalist for Region 1, presented by the Society of Professional Journalists, for his reporting on equity within Ithaca College athletics. During his final year and after moving out of his role as Sports Editor, he created Bombers Roundup, a biweekly newsletter, for which he received an honorable mention at the 2023 Pinnacle Awards.

Glunt is a native of Erie, Pa.
