Evan Roeser was named the assistant athletic communications director at ESU on September 30, 2019.
Roeser came to ESU after spending the last four years as the assistant sports information director at Mount St. Mary's University in Emmitsburg, Maryland. With the Mountaineers, Roeser was responsible for the communication and publicity efforts for the women's basketball, men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, men's soccer, men's golf, women's golf, women's bowling, men's swimming & diving and women's swimming & diving programs.

Roeser worked closely with the men's basketball team that won the Northeast Conference (NEC) Tournament and went on to claim a victory over New Orleans in the NCAA Tournament in 2017. He also served as the media coordinator for both the men's and women's NEC Lacrosse Tournaments hosted at Mount St. Mary's in 2019.

Prior to his time at Mount St. Mary's, Roeser worked as an athletic communications assistant at the University of Vermont from 2012-15. He was the primary contact for the men's lacrosse, women's lacrosse, field hockey, and swimming & diving programs, and also worked closely with men's basketball, women's basketball and the nationally-ranked men's hockey team.

Roeser began his career in sports information as an intern at Binghamton University, where he helped keep stats, film highlights and operate live streams at basketball, lacrosse and soccer games.

During his sophomore year as an undergrad at SUNY Cortland, Roeser was an intern with the New York Jets during their training camp.

Roeser graduated from SUNY Cortland with a degree in sport management in 2012 and went on to earn his MBA from Mount St. Mary's University in 2018.
