Nick Spause begins his first season as a graduate assistant coach for the ESU football program in 2016. Spause joins the coaching staff after appearing in 26 games for the Warriors from 2013-15, starting the final three games of his collegiate career at center in 2015.
Spause assists with both the linebackers and special teams, while also supervising volunteer student coaches and helping to coordinate itineraries for away contests. He previously gained coaching experience with First and Goal Sports in the summer of 2016, teaching a wide variety of youth players the fundamentals of football.
As a player, Spause was a two-time PSAC Scholar-Athlete, and he also earned membership into the National Football Foundation Hampshire Honor Society. The Harleysville, Pa., native appeared in all 11 games in each of his final two years at ESU, helping the Warriors to a pair of winning seasons.
Spause graduated from ESU with a double major sport management and communications, and he is currently working towards his master’s degree in sports management.
