Box Score

EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore back Danny Drago scored off a header with 8:47 remaining to give East Stroudsburg University a 1-0 win over West Chester in the semifinals of the PSAC Men's Soccer Championship on Wednesday at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors will host Lock Haven on Saturday at 1 p.m. in a rematch of last year's championship game, which ESU won 1-0 in double overtime. Lock Haven defeated Millersville 3-0 earlier in the day on Wednesday. ESU has won 12 of the last 15 PSAC championships and has 18 conference titles in school history.

Drago scored off a set piece taken by senior back Copeland Lewis, who floated to ball to the back post, and Drago knocked it home. Drago nearly scored 20 minutes earlier off a corner kick, but West Chester's Marc Michell cleared the ball off the line.

Sophomore midfielder Toric Robinson made a similar play for ESU on a West Chester corner 20 minutes into the match to keep the score 0-0.

The game-winning goal is the third of the year for Drago, and his sixth goal of the season overall.

Sophomore Larry Pokrywa made three saves for his third straight shutout, giving him six shutouts on the year.

ESU won both meetings with Lock Haven this season, 3-1 at Eiler-Martin Stadium on Sept. 22, and 1-0 at Lock Haven last Saturday. The two schools have played for the PSAC championship 15 times, with ESU winning 10.
