EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University will host Lock Haven for the 2007 PSAC Men's Soccer Championship on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
The Warriors (18-2-1) are coming off a 1-0 win over West Chester on Wednesday night on a goal by sophomore back Danny Drago in the 82nd minute. Lock Haven (13-6) beat Millersville 3-0 earlier in the day as midfielder Ashley Rosindale assisted on all three goals for the Bald Eagles.
The game will mark the 16th meeting between the two schools in the PSAC championship game, with ESU holding a 10-5 advantage in the previous 15 games. The two schools have combined to win 38 of the previous 43 conference championships, 20 by Lock Haven and 18 by ESU.
The Warriors have won 12 of the last 15 titles and are the defending champions, while Lock Haven's most recent triumph came in 2004. ESU beat Lock Haven 1-0 in double overtime last season on a goal by junior forward Kevin Holmes.
A limited number of ESU soccer t-shirts will be given to fans with paid admission on Saturday. Ticket prices are $7 for adults and $2 for students, and admission is free for ESU and Lock Haven students.
The same promotion will be held for the PSAC Women's Soccer Championship game, which will be played at Eiler-Martin Stadium on Sunday at 1 p.m. if the Warriors win their semifinal game at West Chester on Friday afternoon.
