EAST STROUDSBURG - Sophomore guard Andy Heimbach was 7-for-7 from the three-point line and 8-for-8 from the field en route to 23 points and Tournament MVP honors as East Stroudsburg University captured the 43rd Annual ESU Basketball Tournament championship with a 89-55 win over Queens College on Saturday night.

The tournament title is the 12th in school history for ESU and the first since claiming back-to-back championships in 2003-04 and 2004-05.

ESU senior forward Channon Easley had his first double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds. Khaleef Allicott and Mike Liander from Queens, Justin Walker from UDC and Rawlston Charles of Wilberforce were also members of the All-Tournament team.

ESU jumped out to a big first half lead for the second straight night, running out to a 29-10 advantage in the first 12 minutes of the contest. Heimbach had 11 points at that point, and hit his fifth three-pointer of the half with 31 seconds to go to put ESU ahead 41-24 at the break.

The Warriors ran away with the game with an 18-2 run to start the second half and led 59-26 with 14 minutes to play.

Easley scored 10 points in each half and finished the game one point shy of his career-high. He was 9-of-15 from the field and had two blocked shots.

Wentz scored 11 points after a 15-point outing in the Warriors' 85-48 win over Wilberforce on Friday night, and Fleury equaled his season and career-high with nine assists.

ESU held Allicott and Liander to a total of 25 points, one day after Allicott scored 26 and Liander had 25 points and 12 rebounds as Queens beat UDC 77-75.
