EAST STROUDSBURG - Felipe Souza scored a pair of goals to lead California (Pa.) to a 2-1 victory over East Stroudsburg University in PSAC men's soccer action on Saturday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

The Warriors, the defending PSAC champions, were playing without starters Roshane Ellison and Kevin Holmes but scored less than six minutes into the match on a goal by sophomore Jason Rudder, who scored the game-winner in ESU's 2-1 win over Bloomsburg on Wednesday night.

Souza tied the game at 1-1 with a goal just under 10 minutes later, and put the Vulcans ahead with 20:12 remaining.

Derek Yobbi made one save to earn the win for Cal, while ESU sophomore Larry Pokrywa made two saves and suffered his first career loss after winning his first nine starts in goal.

The Warriors fall to 2-1 in the PSAC, while the Vulcans improve to 2-0-1 in the conference race.

ESU will host Kutztown on Thursday night at 7:30 p.m. at Eiler-Martin Stadium.
