Warriors Men's Soccer Scores Early, Often in 4-0 Win over Kutztown

EAST STROUDSBURG - East Stroudsburg University scored three goals in the first 10:25 and ran away with a 4-0 victory over Kutztown in PSAC men's soccer play on Thursday night at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Kevin Holmes scored 4:47 into the game on a long-distance shot from the right wing, Jason Shegda converted on a pass from Toric Robinson three minutes later, and Roshane Ellison completed the run with a 25-yard goal off an assist from Dan Evans.

Shegda and Ellison are tied for the team lead with three goals, while Robinson picked up his fifth assist of the season 10 minutes into the second half as his corner kick found the head of Danny Drago to give the Warriors a 4-0 lead.

Larry Pokrywa faced one shot in 63 minutes in goal to earn the win, while Chris Duggan made one save in extended action.

Ryan Kratz started in goal for Kutztown and made three saves in 24:36. Matthew Fredericks went the rest of the way, allowing the second half goal and making seven saves.

The Warriors held a 24-3 advantage in shots in the contest.

ESU improves to 3-1 in the PSAC and will travel to play Shippensburg on Saturday afternoon.
