EAST STROUDSBURG - Junior goalkeeper Larry Pokrywa made a career-high 11 saves and senior midfielder Roshane Ellison had a goal and an assist as No. 22 East Stroudsburg University posted a 3-0 shutout of Gannon on Sunday afternoon at Eiler-Martin Stadium.

Both teams recorded 19 shots, including 14 by Gannon (7-4) in the second half, but Pokrywa was up to the challenge. He made seven saves, his previous career-high, in the second half and earned his fourth shutout of the season for the Warriors (10-2).

Junior forward Bobby Wynn scored his first career goal on an assist from freshman forward Kyle Niemann with just over three minutes remaining in the first half, and Ellison set up a goal by junior midfielder Toric Robinson 10 minutes into the second period.

Ellison scored with 45 seconds remaining on a breakaway after a long clearing pass from sophomore back Michael Kane. Ellison has 10 goals this season, including four in the last three games.

ESU's challenging schedule continues with a trip to Bridgeport on Wednesday in a match-up of two of the four teams selected to represent the Northeast Region in the Division II playoffs last season.

The Warriors have won three straight non-conference games by a combined score of 11-1 against teams that entered with a record of 20-6-2.
