Easley Scores 1,000th Career Point, Warriors Roll to Win over PSU-Schuylkill

EAST STROUDSBURG - Senior forward Channon Easley went over 1,000 career points and junior forward Chris Bach had 22 points and a career-high 16 rebounds as East Stroudsburg University rolled to a 102-42 win over Penn State-Schuylkill on Saturday night.

ESU started the game with a 10-0 run and led 15-2 five minutes into the game. Easley became the 21st 1,000-point scorer in school history when he banked in a turnaround jumper off an assist from Josh Wentz with just over 16 minutes left.

Easley entered the game with 998 career points and scored seven points in the game, including his first career three-pointer early in the second half. He added six rebounds to give him 658 for his career (sixth all-time at ESU), and blocked two shots to increase his career total to 186, second in school history.

Bach's stat line of 22 points, 16 rebounds, three blocks and five steals came in just 20 minutes of action. Bach has four 20-point games, five 10-rebound games and three double-doubles in the last 10 contests.

Freshman guard Mike DeMarco was the only Warrior to play more than 20 minutes, and every player scored except for point guard Pat Fleury, who attempted just one shot and had five assists.

Sophomore forward Preston Ritter had career-highs with 14 points and seven rebounds, sophomore guard Dawud Lyons matched his career-high with 19 points and Wentz added 10 points to give ESU four players in double figures.

Sophomore guard Robbie Pines also had a season-high with eight points, DeMarco had seven points and freshman guard Mike Tobin scored six points for the Warriors.

ESU scored 50 points off 31 turnovers by PSU-Schuylkill, including 22 steals.

The Warriors will start a three-game road trip when they return to PSAC East action at Cheyney on Wednesday at 8 p.m.
