FORT MYERS, Fla. - East Stroudsburg University beat Southern New Hampshire 10-5 and lost 8-2 to Minnesota-Duluth on Friday, then fell 13-1 to Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday morning to close its appearance at the Gene Cusic Classic this week.

The Warriors close the trip with a 5-6 record and are 7-11 on the season heading into next weekend's doubleheaders at Columbia Union and Wilmington.

Junior first baseman Chris Zsenak was 3-for-4 with two RBI and three runs and freshman outfielder Tom Admire went 2-for-4 with three RBI against Southern New Hampshire.

ESU got six innings from senior pitcher Dave Boyer, who improved to 3-1 on the season. Boyer struck out five, allowing three earned runs, and was relieved by junior Bill Hezel, who tossed three scoreless innings for his first career save.

The Warriors pounded out a season-high 15 hits, including four in a four-run fifth to take an 8-3 lead. Senior outfielder Kyle Sheaffer keyed the outburst with a two-run triple, and ESU pushed single runs across in the seventh and eighth to extend the margin.

Against Minnesota-Duluth, ESU sophomore Steve Prazenka (seven strikeouts) and UMD's Kyle Zweber (six strikeouts) were locked in a pitcher's duel through the first seven innings of a 2-2 game after junior second baseman Chad Schlegel tied the score with a two-out single in the bottom of the seventh.

The Bulldogs took advantage of three errors to score six runs (five unearned) to go ahead 8-2 in the top of the eighth. ESU loaded the bases in the bottom half but couldn't push anybody across, and UMD retired the side in the ninth.

Chris Kessinger struck out 11 and gave up four hits in Nebraska-Omaha's 13-1 win over ESU Saturday morning. The Mavericks knocked PSAC opponent Kutztown out of the Division II College World Series a year ago.
